A Lenten Covenant:
Prayer for Missionaries

     The Prayer for Missionaries initiative has three aspects, a mailing list, a weekly conference call, and input directly from missionaries.

• To subscribe to the missionary prayer request list, write directly to me and I will place your email on the distribution list. The missionary prayer request letter will be published once per week, on Tuesdays. Use the letter to intercede for the missionaries who are at risk in these dangerous hours, teaching the Gospel to the nations. We also pray for those to whom the missionaries are sent.


• You may join a group of people praying for missionaries regularly on Tuesday evening between 9 and 10 p.m., US Central time, via Skype voice-only conference call. There will be no video, as most people's bandwidth (mine included) does not permit it. To participate, write directly to me, so that I can assign you a time slot and give you my Skype ID. If you do not have Skype, it is available free from Skype and relatively easy to use. It does require that you have a microphone and headphones or speakers. There is no charge for using Skype.


• For missionaries: Feel free to send your requests directly to me, and I will compile them onto a list for regular distribution to our prayer partners. Add a line or two of information about yourselves and where we can find out more about your mission. Please do not send any details that you require to remain confidential, as the mailing list, though to some degree select, is essentially public. Such details should have names and vital descriptions removed. Though anonymous, they can still be interceded for. God knows for whom we pray.

     I invite you to participate in regular prayer for missionaries.
